PQE Static Voltage Stabilizer perform real time transient free operation by regulating the output voltage via microprocessor controller and thyristor and using NO servo motor (without moving part). Thus, it has extremely high speed response (500 VAC/sec.) than the conventional Servo motor regulators.
The appropriate transformer tap is automatically activated through a silicon-controlled rectifier, maintaining a tightly regulated output voltage (typically Static Voltage Stabilizer would offer ±3% of nominal voltage) Tap changes are initiated within one electrical cycle, 20-mS ; switching at zero current crossing to ensure a minimum amount of noise during tap transitions. Number of taps per phase independently are utilized for optimal voltage regulation.
